Overview How We Help
The Valley Promise is a South Texas College last-dollar initiative to provide students an affordable education toward an associate degree. With the help of STC supporters and community partners, this program will scale up over five years and eventually provide all Rio Grande Valley students with a free education.
STC and its statewide and local partners understand that a well-educated workforce is key to the Valley’s future prosperity. All are committed to ending poverty, strengthening the economy and meeting the workforce demands of the region by helping more students complete college and get the career skills needed to hold high-paying, high-demand jobs.
